PCC will consider applicants from a variety of academic backgrounds, including the humanities, the social sciences, the natural sciences, the arts, or professional degree programs. Our students pursue a one-of-a-kind interdisciplinary curriculum, taught by faculty who have established international reputations in such fields as cosmology, philosophy, religious studies, Jungian and transpersonal psychology, ecology, and the evolution of consciousness.

Along with the standard weekly classes, the extended PCC learning experience unfolds in a variety of settings and contexts, from the annual retreat for students, faculty, and alumni at Esalen Institute and the community social gatherings at the start of each semester, to the regular PCC Forums, symposia, and PCC sponsored conferences.

Many of our MA alumni have gone on to pursue doctoral studies or have forged careers in a wide spectrum of educational endeavors, social change organizations, and sustainability related businesses.
